Jeff Yeung is a passionate pianist and music educator from Sullivan County, New York, who believes everyone can learn to create music. He plays and composes music that captures the nuances and complexities of human emotions. The type of music that he writes is an eclectic mix of Weezer to Queen with a healthy dose of embracing the chaos from mixing in any genre he's listening to.

Jeff began his musical journey at seven when he started taking piano lessons at the Janice Center. He soon discovered his passion for music and expanded his skills by learning saxophone and guitar. He pursued his Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance from SUNY Purchase in 2016 and his Master’s of Art in Teaching from Manhattanville College in 2021. 

As a music educator, Jeff teaches piano with Nesin Cultural Arts through their Aspiring Young Musicians program. He also teaches guitar at the Janice Center where he mentors the next generation of musicians. He believes music is a powerful tool for learning, creativity, and personal growth. 

You can catch him singing karaoke and sharing his love for piano, guitar, and ukulele at the Janice Center and Nesin Cultural Arts.

Jeff is currently working on a portfolio of original compositions that will showcase his eclectic and expressive musical style. His motto is “Everyone can learn to make music.” He hopes to share his passion and joy for music with everyone he meets.
